Eeny, meeny, miny moe, catch a’ nigga-nigger-negro by his throat, if they holler, don’t let him go, until he sings; nigger-nigga-negro.
It rhymes, nigger-nigga-negro sings song now, needless to say self-love; is self-love, it is an act – behave in the way specified - synonyms: function, react, perform, the love of identity alluding to the quality of a character, thus nigger-nigga-negro encapsulating the duality of this love, and escaping the clutches of modern-day notice; the terms themselves a problem not noticed. Originating as a neutral term referring to people with black skin, a variation of the Spanish and Portuguese noun negro, a descendant of the neger, after Latin niger ("black") as modern-day knows it a contemptuous term for a black or dark-skinned person. And that’s where the Black involves itself with an equation that has this representation, reckoning, that the use of nigger, nigga’, or negro is anything but the movement of progressive cultural appropriation- the mass-marketing of alternate lifestyles, practices, and artefacts that the Black in the equation is always on hand to remind the niggers, and the nigga’s, and the negro’s that have praised a snowy conviction all their lives, that the appropriation is not the genre standing at the edge of principal change.
The reclaimed, or re-appropriated nigga-nigger-negro, are words that was at one time belittling, but has been brought back into conventional tradition, and this has wider implications when discourse speaks of personal, or socio-political empowerment, at the same time the communities that experienced oppression, these very same peoples can be heard exercising the use of these words, in essence dutiful niggers, not people, just sincere niggas and dedicated Negros doing all they can to appropriate the name they still are ridiculed with, as if to own it, as if to reverse the psychology when none of them have a doctrine between them.
And the use is prevalent, the consequence being the regularity has seeped into a common psyche, therefore it lives in every breath it takes to speak the words, and sing song, when song, especially Black song to Black people is still the anthem hollering the tone of current times, and histories gone, the song is still the ultimate cajoler, still the lyric worth listening to, after centuries of Black genocide, Willie Lynch, and reaffirming that the Revolution will not be televised, seeping into the psyche is a revolution that watches state murder of black people, ordained like, they read of the death of another due to the obscene hopelessness of knife crime, involving Jamal, ‘One Shot ‘Tyrone and Roshane ‘Murder’ Wilson, on top of which nigga’s in their droves watch other niggas parade the melodic disdain for the nigger in them, every single-one of them bright enough to know that the nigga in them isn’t who they ought to be. Thus, such is the reality: niggas are shot, edited and framed on T.V-live, niggers be on the new plantation of which coincides with mass incarceration, strutting their stuff, and poverty, and well-ordered, circumscribed aspirations is as rife as it ever been, let the record of the global wealth, per capita show – and such is the psychology, truly at a miss as to how to represent the act of self-love, and duly dying because of it.
Consequently, there’s a difference of opinion amongst the purveyors of their colour-coded standings, profoundly the Black in the equation not having it; it being the decolourisation of the very pigment of skin, and while everything is scientific, it’s the representation that hollers self-love the loudest, the same Blacks who scream till their lungs bleed songs that spurred change in the way people were governed, and inspired, those who listened to them at beck and call to fight for change. Blacks live to live past the ‘struggle’, same revolution that the same appropriation is not moving pass, they listen to “Revolution” by Dennis Brown, they’ll forever love Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit”, bold enough to accept that the love of Sam Cooke’s - A Change Is Gonna Come is a conflicted love when they love Public Enemy’s "Rebel Without a Pause".
They know of the Black dynasties they came from, they know of the riches of their ancestors actuality, they know of plantation owners, their sons, and brothers who molested Black women with impunity, they’ve become well aquatinted with thumbscrews, cotton screws and metal masks, they know of the whip where wounds be burst and rubbed with turpentine and red pepper, for the origin of the nigger-nigga-negro, to live and breathe, and be the prevalent representation in everything thy don’t do, , those same Blacks just ain’t having it, for them; a ‘negro please’ moment, in truth the sentiment being f**k these niggers, niggas and compliant Negros, for them all black everything in the name of all their heroes, culture over everything; they’re known to know of this, for Blacks the revolution is simply irresistible, and they will not tire in their pursuit of pride in what they love and yearn for the most.
Thus it’s a tragedy, colloquia’s bottom line, and living out the generational trauma of the affliction, what the afflicted refer to as ‘root deep’, reclaiming nigger jibes, and re-appropriating nigga jives, and faithful to old negro spirituals long since dead, and as proud as Black as I am, thus the constant reaffirming reflecting the culture that has yet to be who, and what it is, all these people of the same root, with the Blacks on one side, and the nigger, nigga and Negro on the other, staring at each other with absolute disdain, all the parties involved under the impression they represent something worthy of their endless efforts for, truth is they all fight the same battle whilst losing the war they are ill-equipped to fight, unbeknown to them they have to be greater than what they suffer - their division the elemental problem - their bounded by the meagre enlightenment history has failed to teach them about the institution of both their struggles to be free, at last, and perhaps the reader will want to draw a moral from this narrative, thus the attention underlining nigger-nigga-negro really speaking for itself.
